"As a teacher of another school system (where I was very proud to have my son and daughter) it was hard for me to switch my children over to Hillsdale Preparatory because they were getting a good education. Since the switch, I have seen my children challenged and grow tremendously. I do not want my children to simply go through school. I want my children challenged and prepared for the future. As a teacher I feel today's school curricula are being watered down. HPS is preparing our children, and developing successful habits in order for them to succeed in high school and college."

Parent Communication

Hillsdale Preparatory publishes a monthly newsletter called The Vision, which is sent home with students. The Vision reports timely information about the students, the school, and upcoming events. In addition, the teaching staff communicates with parents frequently through notes, phone calls, and parent meetings. This frequent communication from the newsletters and the staff enhances parent involvement and cooperation.

In addition, all students bring home an envelope containing class/school information on a weekly basis in the "Tuesday Mailers." Responses from parents, if necessary, as well as the students' envelopes are returned on the following Mondays.

Scheduled Parent/Teacher Conferences are held in the fall and spring of each year. Parents may also schedule individual meetings with the teachers at any time during the year.
