Technology

Hillsdale Preparatory has a computer lab and all classrooms are equipped with at least one personal computer. The teachers and the students have access to a VCR recorder, DVD player, VCR/DVD/ laptop projector, laptop computers, overheads, calculators, and a digital camera. Each teacher incorporates technology in accordance with weekly plans within the core academic areas. Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point are examples of the programs used to enhance the content areas, as well as Internet access for information retrieval. The computer and other technologies are viewed as tools to be mastered and used in many ways across a variety of content areas within the classroom. Computer related skills are developed throughout the student's educational experience by gradually broadening the type and use of technology.
