| About Us Hillsdale Preparatory School symbolizes a partnership among the students, parents, faculty, administration, and staff. These partners are united in their commitment to our common objectives and dedicated to our Mission Statement. At Hillsdale Preparatory, maintaining a morally disciplined learning environment is vital. Traditional moral values are encouraged through the eight pillars of character: Citizenship, Friendship, Courage, Integrity, Honesty, Respect, Responsibility, and Perseverance. We expect these pillars
to be constantly valued and frequently demonstrated. Hillsdale Preparatory School is a tuition-free Michigan public school. As a free public school, Hillsdale
Preparatory School follows all the requirements outlined by the Hillsdale Intermediate School District
and all Federal and State of Michigan laws related to enrolling students. According to our charter, there
is no academic requirement for admission. However, to ensure proper class placement, testing may be
administered to new students (grades K-7). Continuing students shall have first priority and parents must
complete an Intent to Enroll form for re-enrollment. Siblings shall have preference. Enrollment for siblings
depends on space and availability. Spaces remaining shall be filled by a lottery during April of each
school year. Any prospective student not enrolled may remain in the lottery, but parents must fill out a
new application each year. Hillsdale Preparatory School does not discriminate on the basis of intellectual
or athletic ability, measures of achievement or aptitude, status as a handicapped person, religion, creed,
race, sex, color, or national origin. Special Education Services are available for students with special needs and students may receive reading
and math assistance through Title I. The only major expense to the parents of Hillsdale Preparatory is the cost of the school uniforms.
School lunches and co-curricular activities (athletics and field trips) are parent expenses. |
